Default I need a protective case for KSC-75.

Does anyone keep their KSC-75s in a hardshell case? They wouldna fit in the case I’ve been using for my current ear-clips headphones.

An altoid tin is just big enough. In fact, so tightly so that how your clips are bent may decide whether it fits or not. I used one for awhile. You might want to look into Pelican's 1030, as well. The padded part may be a touch too thick, though (and I do not know anywhere to buy their stuff retail, except for larger cases for batteries).

Sounds like it would work for me if I used a heavy rubberband around the box to keep it closed.

Do I imagine correctly in that the ksc-75 phones fit catticorner to one another inside the altoids box, then you “inversely-wrap” the cable along the inside perimeter of the altoids box?

UPDATE:
I got some Koss KSC-95s and they won't stay on my ears! So, nevermind. Thanks anyway. I love the sound of the KSC-75s, but they do me no good if they won't stay on.

I am accepting suggestions for similar-sounding earclips that might stay on better.

Yes, one 'upside down' compared to the other. You can make a tin a little more secure by bending the front lip in some. Go see that other thread, too...it's a feature of the KSC75, not a fault (Koss just has as good a marketting department as AMD ).
