Hi all,
I wanna connect my X5 to my car, by headphone plug or by botton connector. Was hoping to find a carkit for the X5, but it seems like it doesn't exist, correct? Are others here using it in the car, and if so, any tips? What's the best way to connect? Thanx, Dr.Bob |

Check this thread - http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5229
ProClip USA has a cradle that fits the X5 (not the X5L) with built-in subpack connector. The same company offers several mounting options for the cradle. If you have an X5L, you can see a picture I took of my X5L installed in a Honda Pilot on the Proclip website. There are several threads about the best way to hook up your X5 to a car radio. Cassette adaptor and FM modulator are not that great. If possible, add an auxiliary input to your radio system for the best quality. PIE (www.pie.net) is a great resource for this. |

btw, if it doesn't fit, the x5l, it won't fit the x5 60 gig either.

Hmm that probably also explains why I had to return the normal X5 dock I bought, it was supposed to be good for the 60GB version too, but when it arrived and I tried hooking things up, I couldn't even get the X5 in the dock! So seems like the info on dimensions isn't always that clear to everyone, even to sellers of accessoires.
Thanx for the warning! |
