[HELP]subtitle problem... did a search but...

Hi guys,

first of all, A2 is kicking some serious butts in the office...

second, I did a search regarding to the subtitle ripping and editing... and actually I am kind of stucked...

here is my problem:
well, I got lots movies and subtitles but lots of the subtitles contain [.idx+.sub], which is playing perfectly on my desktop and my laptop...

I tried to convert them into .smi (sami) with vobsub and subtitle workshop or some other subtitle editing software but no lock...

as for subtitle workshop the error message I got was "bad subtitle"... but I am 120% sure the subtitle is fine...

Can anyone help?

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Check the number 3 in the Subtitle Workshop FAQ.
I got this bad subtitle once. IIRC i got the same subtitle with a different subtitle format and it worked.
Let me know your progress ...

the subtile file .idx and .sub is not text-based, so i think subtitle workshop can not handle it.

I used SubResync (included with VobSub) to convert my sub to smi. It took me maybe 10 minutes to convert because I had to type a lot of letters to change the picture to text. Its a little annoyance, but it works great when its done

You can try this guide to help you out:

Good luck
