Well done! As another poster said in your original thread, if I could go back in time and do it all over again, I would have bought mine sooner.

ok, so i made up my damned mind and ordered the 30gb k5L, and the noreve case and remote for it. supposedly, it comes with a "free" cradle, too.

but, uh, i kinda ran into a problem ordering through the official site. it apparently didn't like that i spell my name two different ways, and so it spat out my first order because the billing address didn't match the credit card. (duh) so i followed their link back (like it said to), and fixed it, and tried again. the next time, it told me that my credit card number was wrong (it wasn't). follow the link back, etc. retry, declined, and it boots me out.

so i go back and look, and there are three orders in my account that say "not finalized." i find the one with the most accurate data, and hit the "reorder" button. the appropriate amount for one order is now subtracted from my bank account's available balance. my credit card is really debit, so it shows up fast.

...but my order status page still shows three "not finalized" orders, and no tracking numbers or anything. think it'll sort itself out by the morning? i emailed customer support, and told them what happened... so hopefully, i don't end up with three, or get charged for three.

heh, well, i don't have the money in that account to PAY for three.

unfortunately, i'm an honest person. if they send me three, two are getting sent back. if i were a little less honest, i'd sell two for cheap.

oy, their email fired back an automated response saying:

lovely. and when i do confirm, and login, it says "invalid username of password" even thought it shows that i'm logged in! apparently NONE of the links on the official cowon site work properly. cowon, i am NOT impressed. your player better work right.

ok, i should finally have a 30gb x5l on the way now, from b&h photo. or rather, i will when the open again. it was $299 for the unit, $29 for the cradle. i placed an order through cowon's ebay store for the remote. in total, it was a little more expensive than the deal i got shorted out of by the cowonamerica website screwery.

the good thing about b&h is that i could order film at the same time...

Cowonamerica is not usually the cheapest place. Newegg.com is cheap, fast, and cheap shipping. I reccomend newegg.
