Default Shure sent me two pairs by mistake, what to do?

Hello. I sent my shures back to shure on the 17th.. I called shure two days ago and found out the reason they were taking so long to send them back is because they got lost in the mail room. I was sent a new pair with next day shipping as a result.

They don't respond to any of my emails, so I don't think emailing them telling them they sent me two pairs will do much.

I contacted Shure by phone and they gave me a fedex account number I can use to send them back to Shure.

This is a crisis of conscience. However, I have to ask myself - if my E3cs break again, would I rather have another pair available, or would I rather wait two weeks again to find out Shure lost the pair I sent in?

Is this a rhetorical thread, or what? Yes, you would rather have the free extra pair of headphones.

Well, think about it. Say you own a business and you accidentally give a guy 2 of an item. Wouldn't you like to have it back? Morals of people these days...

You want to hear an honest story?

When I bought my COWON G3 from Amazon they sent me two. They only charged me for one. They did not know I had it. There I was, two brand new G3's in my hands. They sure looked nice. One for me... and the other one for me.

What to do, what to do...

I sent it back and they gave me a code for five bucks off my next Amazon purchase.

I sent them back an hour after calling them with info, the day that I made this post.

In spite of my anger for them losing my RMA, I have no use for two, and don't feel like dealing with eBay(I always get screwed, but I've only been a buyer so far).

I just found this thread when I googled for something else.

I thought I should mention that I highly regret my decision because three months after this occured the wire F'd up again, and soldering a neutrik jack is a PAIN IN THE ASS because unlike etymotic they use some psuedo hair wire crap.

Eventually they tore off at the headphone end, and since these don't have detachable cables to the earpieces like the ER4S, it was rendered junk.

Dude seriously keep them, either sell them on ebay or as a back up in case yours break out of warantee.

I'm sure Shure's profits are through the roof with the prices they charge for some of their 'phones, it's not like stealing off an old lady.

Heh, i got two shure e2cs from ebay when i hurried the guy to send them to me (he took weeks) and i sold the second.

only to have the one i sold break on the guy i sold it to after 3 months and MY wire to split at the jack which sounds identical to the issue your having now with yours a few months after that..

needless to say replaceable wires with my UE set is why i bought them

They only gave you 5 bucks off?!If you would've known that wouldn't you have kept it? Imean its like if you find a hundred bucks on the ground, returned it to the guy who lost it somewhat expecting something in return, and he only gives you 5 bucks. Thats rude. well at least you got yourself a footlong sub from subway out of it to enjoy.. instead of an extra G3 that you could've sold for much more than 5 bucks im sure.
