Text in New Firmware

Has anybody with 1.61 tried out the text reader to see if the word wrap problem has been fixed. In the description it says that text was fixed, but I don't if that's what they were talking about.

They fixed the special characters problem in the textviewer other languages had.

I have problems with text viewing function. On 1.51C when u press center button the text was scrolled up rapidly but with 1.59 I couldn't use the center button. Any 1 experiences the same problem?

Haven't tried text with the new firmware yet but the fill-column setting for your text editor if set to 65 results is no line-wrap problems

Emacs ( but you should be able to set any text editor to wrap at specific fill columns )

Try iFormat you can download it from http://www.cerebus.de/iriver/download.html

iFormat was written to format text files in a way that is easy
to read on the H3xx series of digital jukeboxes. It can be used,
though, to reformat any text file to a width between 10 and 100
characters. It tries to avoid ugly breaks, like having an opening
bracket at the end of a line, or a lonely comma at the start.

i use it for text on my X5. Good luck
