Default G3's File Limitation

I'm planning on buying a 2 GB version of the G3 and wondered whats the file limitation of the latest firmware?

Is it 650 files / 50 folders?

Is it even worth getting the 2 GB version instead of the 1 GB?

Thanks in advance!

53 folders, but that includes the ones the device sets up itself.

As to whether 2GB is worth it, it depends on what bitrate you want/need to rip at. If 64 kbit/s .ogg or .wma VBR is OK for you (and it is OK for me, listening outdoors, or in the car, or whatever) then you won't be able to use all the 2GB unless you play tricks like rip an entire CD as one file (DBPowerAmp will do that nicely) .. which makes sense for Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, etc. but is a bit of a PITA with CDs which are 20 3 minute pop songs.

I went with the 1GB, but YMMV.
