Which Firmware

I got my U3 for xmas but i havent updated the firmware yet (still 1.11), do i really need to update?

If so which firmware is best as i keep on reading posts about problems with the diffrent beta 1.12 firmware.

Is the final 1.12 alright for non korean users yet?

I would say you should keep the firmware you've got. I noticed nothing exciting about the newer ones. When Cowon submits a firmware that supports Janus based DRM subscription services (Napster, YMU, etc) then I will get excited.

Yuh, I almost corrupted my U3 when I tried to install the new firmware.

Stay with the one you got.

A installed the new "final" It was simple and problem free.

i have a post somewhere here with better instructions. It's for the 1.12b3 fw as i mentioned, but seems to be the same for this final? version as well. i've downloaded the latest but havent run the program yet. did it erase everything on your U3, Enoch?

Hey Kam3,

No, the last firmware won't erase a bit. Even the equalizer settings and the jet effects will remain the same.
