U3 screen while viewing pictures and playing videos

I remember when I was viewing pics on the U3 screen, I used to see the full size photo taking all the screen size. However, now, suddenly, i see white bars at both top and bottom of the screen while viewing pics.

Could any of u please confirm this whith your U3 player. It is very annoying to have useless space in the screen that doesn't show the full potential size of the photo. I tried to reinstall the firmware, but it didn't fix it. I tried to reinstall using the same last version firmware (1.12b).

Let me know if any of you have the same problem... or a way to solve it.

on the other hand, while playing videos, there is no white bars at either top or bottom, but at the bottom of the screen there is a small space that can still be used. from the top, it is perfect... video playing takes all top screen with now un-used spaces, but at the bottom there is like still a space that could be used. I don't remember if I had that before I upgrade to the new beta firmware.

However, i don't know how to go back to the old firmware. plus, the new firmware is much better in every other aspect, even sound quality!! Don't ask me how!! I never heard before that firmware can improve sound quality but it did it in my case, or at least I feel that D:

BTW, when I upgraded the firmware to the same version (just a try and error) to see if video and especially photo viewing will show the full potential screen, it kept all my same information and didnt ask me like first time for language and area. I guess, downloading the same firmware over the same version has no effect at all... even though it said upgrading firmware, but it kept all my info the same, which wasn't the case when I upgraded from version 1.10 to 1.12b.

Thanks very much

The white lines are there because the pictures are a different aspect ration than the screen. If it were to stretch the picture, it would look distorted. Although this would not be as noticable as on your monitor.

they were not like these the first time I used the player.

However, I am talking about the pics that came with the player. And why it doesnt adjust the pics to the full screen?!

Thanks for ur input. I just hope iaudio fix this in their new firmware. Plus, the video also has not used space at the bottom, did any of u noticed that?

LoL, I dont want to be rude, but since u have the same case... I feel better D: it means my player is not defetive or anything
