All you need to do to rip a dvd to the x5 is get the program DVDIDLE PRO (30 day trail available at their site, google it) Install and run that program, this will allow you to copy any DVD to your x5 via iRiverter (That part I will let you figure out yourself)

DVD Decrypter will do the same thing, and it is free.
It's the best software of its kind.

i suggest using jetaudio to convert your files to X5's format. Much better. Much.
Its like comparing a daewoo (iriverter) to a bentley (jetaudio).

I don't think JetAudio will rip CSS-, Countrycode- and Macrovision-protected DVDs.
That's what DVDDecrypter and DVDIdle are for... What kind of program you then use for the actual encoding of the movies is up to you.
