Here's an idea...

Wouldn't it be cool if you could use your G3, 5, U2 or U3 as a remote for your X5. Just an idea...

To be honest: no. First of all, those players all have different button layouts. And there shouldn't be that much people with a X5 and a iAudio flash player.

And I doubt that it would be technically possible anyway.

Why use a perfectly good falsh player as a remote for a perfectly good HDD player? Too expensive anyway in my opinion.

Also I seriously dobt it would be technichally possible in any way.

This idea has been realized by MPIO already.

The flash-based player MPIO ONE (same features like U3) can be used as an Remote for their upcoming 20/40GB HDD Player MPIO HD500.

Btw after reading the technical specs this HD500 seems very promising. Should be released this month (november). Hopefully they don't screw up the firmware like the HD300's (had this DAP before I got the X5).

I wouldn't call my M3L cheap

It better stands for 'Magnificent'. I also doubt that many people are waiting for the F1.
