What gives? I just got a D3 labeled Gingerbread version. I connect to my wifi, get on the net and cant play any youtube videos. I try with JetVD, and it has this spinning wheel that rotates a half turn, pauses, rotates again, pauses.. but never goes anywhere. If I force load youtube with the browser and attempt to play a video directly, it says Sorry, this video cannot be played.
What am I missing.. what needs to happen to allow streaming video to play? (If I need to use another web browser, which one? Do I need Flash?) |

Is works if you download it using jetvd. Also there's a newer version.

I've got the same problem, no playback without downloading first. There is a new version of jetvd which supports 1080p and mp3 downloading, yet still doesn't play without downloading first.
But with rooted D3 you can just download the official youtube app straight from the market, works OK for playback and for downloading I've got the new jetVD, not ideal but working. Rooting my D3 was as easy as the normal X.53 to X.55 Update, so shouldn't be a problem. I'am pretty sure with the stock EU.53-firmware mine came with, I could play through jetVD (but had no downloading options) and straight from the youtube-site. ![]() |
