Default Locked Out

Alright... my sister was playing with my Z2 and successfully locked me out of my player. I'm getting the well-known "Too many pattern attempted screen".
I tried to enter my account information but the device wouldn't let me in. (And yes, I tried to enter my username with and without "@gmail.com")

The current situation:
- WiFi is disabled
- USB debugging is enabled -> ADB works
- WiFi and the Mass Storage feature cannot be activated on the player because the pull-down menu is locked

Here are some tricks I tried:
- "null" password
- firmware re-installation

So the question is: How do I unlock my player without being able to format it? Am I screwed?

Is there some sort of recovery mode?

Yes, but the only options are: "Install fw from internal memory", "Install fw from SD card" and "Re-Install current fw".

Anyway, thanks to dwaalspoor98's help, I found the solution, and I hope it will help others if they come into the same situation:

- Open the adb shell (enter: "adb shell")
- Enter: "wipe data"

That's it.

I was looking for a solution for 4 hours now and finally my Z2 works again!

In a real Android environment wiping data would be a menu option. :p

If you mean the settings screen - I couldn't open it.

snakebite2:

Well, one thing you need is the Android SDK. Follow the instructions in this thread in order to install it properly.

Then you open *path to the SDK*/platform-tools/ and open the command prompt here. Then you enter what I said: "adb shell".

I didn't, actually. AFAIK most Android phones, at least, have a built-in recovery menu that you can access when standard booting won't work, where wiping data is a menu option.
