Default Music app

I am curious about the music app, which will be finished soon.
Is it more complicated to codefor that compared with menus etc?

I didn't start working on the music app yet.
I have to port Cheetah XT's components to Cheetah GTX at first, and THEN I'll code the music app.

You then tap on whichever one you decided to replace with Lynx or Cheetah (menu #3, so you've said) and tap on that icon... 1, 2, or 3. That will bring up that particular main menu and you're now off and running, in Lynx or Cheetah.
Thanks very much for the effort although what you are showing me I did understand by reading the pdf by Cowon as instructed by Kizune. I still only have the standard 3 options, No Cheetah.

WAI:

Thanks for recording the video.

Here are a few comments:

1. The loading time of pictures actually cannot be improved in any way by UCIs - Vision, Cheetah XT's picture viewer and Cheetah GTX' picture viewer all take the same time to load pictures, both in list view and in detail view.
I don't have an explanation for why the loading times in GTX' picture viewer seem to be considerably shorter, but I suppose XT's picture viewer blocks gestures a little longer than GTX, resulting in the impression pictures take longer to load.

2. In zoom mode, the first icon (order: left to right) stops the zoom mode, the second one zooms the picture to the minimum (i.e. fit to screen), the third one zooms the picture to 100% and the fourth one zooms it to the maximum zoom level.

3. You can open the music or the radio UI by holding the play button in the pull-down menu.

4. "Most things [settings] do not apply" is not exactly correct - the following settings don't work:
--- General > Security
--- General > Wallpaper > Slideshow Settings > location of "slideshow.txt"
All other settings work fine.

Mauro:

Then you didn't rename mainmenuN.swf correctly.

Also, if your operating system doesn't show file extensions (i.e. "mainmenuN" instead of "mainmenuN.swf"), do not add the file extension, otherwise the filename is actually "mainmenuN.swf.swf".

No, I renamed correctly - also did not add swf extension, checked 10 times. This is really bizarre. I tried installing 'Leaf', same problem-nothing. I getting pissed off now with this player. When I first received the J3 it refused to play Flac files unless I rename the extension to fla. Go figure.

Whyever this problem occurs, it's not the player's fault - at least it usually wouldn't be. You'd be the first person ever having the problem that UCIs didn't work at all.

Anyway, just to make sure, I'll repeat the installation steps:
- Extract the archive to "System/Flash UI/" (NOT "Flash/")
- Replace the "N" in "mainmenuN" / "mainmenuN.swf" with "1", "2" or "3" (DON'T add additional characters such as "_" so the result looks like this: "mainmenu_1.swf")
- Start your player
- If Cheetah doesn't show up, go to the respective mainmenu you replaced with Cheetah

If you did all these steps correctly and it still doesn't work, please put the "Flash UI" folder in a ZIP archive, upload it somewhere (such as MediaFire), and give me the download link.

can you add a double tap zoom feature for the s9? I use it a lot to zoom quickly, I noticed in the video it wasnt there.

That is because the picture app isn't finished yet.

@mauro: btw, just to clarify, in that bar for switching main-menus, the icons for each menu will not change, they will still look the same, only the menu itself once you enter it will be cheetah.
j3 is generally a great player, no problems whatsoever with launching UI...
mostly a lot of people post stuff and complain that they are doing everything right and its the players fault, and in the end it turns out they did some stupid mistake...

First off, thanks Kizune for another amazing cowon UCI. I cannot see myself switching away from any cowon product as long as you are developing for it.

But I have question/request. Would it be possible to make the top bar, the one with battery and time, transparent or a different color maybe? And also change the color of the letters.

Transparent is not a good idea IMO because depending on the wallpaper, you can see the icons and text or not. A solid background ensures that icons and text is always visible.
Also, why do you want a different color for letters?

If the top bar was transparent then I could change the color of the letters so I could see them in case of a, for example, white wallpaper.
It's a little thing but I like to be able to see as much of my wallpaper as possible. With the black bar it cuts away some of the picture.

Usually I wouldn't do that because it's a very user-specific customization and it would be very complicated in Cheetah XT... but luckily for you, Cheetah GTX works differently. I'll change it according to your request and upload it separately once Cheetah GTX is finished, but for now you have to wait until this is the case.
