so i had bought yesterday a D2+ Black Color 16GB for only $60 off ebay and man was i lucky and the seller lived in FL so lucky me as i live in AL Lol fast shipping

anywho, i am just wondering who still has theirs. i bought it cause i missed it. the size of the device, the battery life, the design, the screen, all the Music UIs and Flash UIs that were developed i all so missed. can't wait to have it again! still to this day the D2 is really still one of best PMPs from COWON. COWON did all the rights with it. there was nothing bad about the device. mow though cowon is doing all the wrongs

I still have my 8GB D2, and I still use it occasionally. And BTW: you got a great deal on that D2+,...I'm jealous!!!

D2+ FTW!!!!!!!!!

my default player is Fuze ver.2 but when ever I what to experience a richer sound I shift back to D2+ for now I use it as a recorder for recording speech & stuff like that.
I always choose the best---> Fuze ver.2/D2+/Clip+ so if I don't own a player be sure it's not the best.

I still do! well i will because I just bought yet another! D2... This one will be the D2+. I had my first D2 4gb when it came out in the states and loved it! That one was stolen or lost, can't remember but then I got the 16gb version they released which i forgot was in my jacket pocket and that went for a ride in the wash and dryer. It survived the ride in the water and heat but the screen wouldnt work anymore but i had the hardware buttons set up so i could still use it to play music in shuffle. so from 2006 up until now, I have not been able to find a replacement player that satisfied me as much as the D2 did.

I went from using Walkmans to Cd players, to Sony MD's and players, to the Cowon D2 in 2006. I havent been able to find another player that met my needs as the D2 did. After my D2 hit the wash I got a sansa clip which i still use and a J3 which was great! until my screen started separating and the thing started malfunctioning because of water damage from a rainy day. I now use my Sansa clips and my nokia N8 for music but I need a dedicated music player that plays flac and isnt a huge candybar shape so I'm happily back to the D2!

Looks like yesterday was the last day for my D2 to be functional. My J3 replacement should arrive tomorrow.

well the sad thing about the D2+ is it can't use any Flash UIs that uses a config File. Flash UIs Coverslide and Darkstage can't be used. well you can but without the config being messed with it's boring. i am however going to see it the Simple Flash Skin Loader will work and se IF that Flash UI will allow things to run

yesterday i had tried installing the D2 Firmware on my D2+ and there was a point where i thought my D2+ was totally bricked as after the first installment with the d2n File and after disconnecting the D2+ could no longer go into Recovery Mode (Holding down Menu Button while connecting) and everytime i tried the D2+ would just connect as normal but the screen was off and the Device probably did boot but the screen was off. the D2 Firmware does probably run fine on the D2+ but there's a slight hardware difference between the two models. the D2+ uses a different Touch/Screen Controller thus' the Driver in the d2 Firmware won't work. i hate cowon for updating the Firmware to were config File won't be read for Flash UIs

the Fix for this issue was i would connect the D2+ and wait for connection to happen then quickly disconnect and reconnect while holding the Menu Button down and surely enough Tcctool detected the D2+ and i was a happy user again as i had completely panicked and lost hope when it couldn't be detected

Still have mine ! D2+ 16Gb + 16Gb SD. But it runs under rockbox
Not much players can drive so successfully my HD25@70ohms !! Most of them have a to weak output power for such earphones. So I keep it preciously !

I am still having mine which is bought 5 years ago and still working perfectly fine. Though now flash to D2+ firmware. Now looking for a new cowon device to upgrade.
