Line out sound quality, headphone amps

Hi Guys,

I am contemplating getting a portable headphone amp for my X5. I have two questions:

- There has been some discussion about the lack of bass in the line-out. I'm not into excess bass, but I like balanced sound. Are people using headphone amps finding the line out acceptable, or are you needing to use the headphone socket?

- Secondly, what headphone amp / headphone combinations have you found to work well with the X5?
