Default Transfer very slow (copy/paste) on my J3 :(

Hi everybody,

Since I have my J3, when I copy my music and paste in my J3's Music folder, it's very slow! About : less than 1mo/s like hmm 350ko/s

And it's the same problem when I delete songs

I hope someone could help me :/

I have a J3 16go (without SD card) firmware 2.23 (not the last one just before)

Thanks

Hmm maybe another solution? Without deleting all, because if it doesn't solve the problem I don't want to wait 5h to copy/paste all my songs :o

I just wonder, what is Ko, Mo, Go,...?
Is that the weird memory measurement hdd manufacturers use? I always thought it was KiB, MiB and GiB?

Oh, and to stay ontopic:
Have you already tried to plug your player into another usb port?

Hmm, okay.

Is 1 Go = 1 GB for example?

I've never heard of Go, Ko etc. and I just wonder what it means.

edit:

Never mind, the information that you're French helped.

http://sebsauvage.net/comprendre/unites/index.html

Answer: 1 Go = 1 GB (and 1 Ko = 1 KB etc)

Oh, by the way, I edited a suggestion to my post:

"Oh, and to stay ontopic:
Have you already tried to plug your player into another usb port?"

WTF WAI. I've never heard of Ko, Mo and Go and I didn't find good results using google when I typed 'mo go' for example. Why shouldn't I ask here what it means?

snayk:

I guess formatting might help.
Reinstalling the firmware wouldn't change anything I think because it's just the OS of the player and doesn't change anything in the filesystem that could make the transfer speed faster.

Ko = Kilo Octet in French Mo = Méga Octet

Heh, I always added an ontopic part to my posts here.

In case snayk missed the latest one:

"I guess formatting might help.

Formatting fixes filesystem problems and thus the transfer speed is probably faster after formatting.

So you think that formatting could be a good solution? How could i do that? Using le little hole a the back of the J3? Or using Windows, right click on the J3 then format? But If I do that, there will be nothing at the end, even the OS of the J3, the folders etc. ? :o
