I followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=921169 to try and get adb working for my d3. Everything goes fine but when I run ./adb devices I get nothing. No permission error, just nothing. I've also added a rule to udev with the vendor id 0e21 from lsusb but still no luck.
Any tips? |

I had a problem with this as well with it popping up as nothing when i /adb.exe devices on windows. Have you updated your D3 drivers with the drivers that are in the adb folder? After I manually reinstalled the drivers for my D3 with the drivers in the ADB folder it showed up and it all worked from there
edit: the site i used is http://nookdevs.com/NookColor_USB_AD...2C_Vista_and_7 where even though it isn't for the D3, the general procedure is the same and it helped to root my D3 |

adb is not seeing anything for me either. Has anyone got this working? It shows the D3 in Device Manager (Win 7) but no driver and I assume this is the problem. Anyone want to walk a noob through an ADB setup?

i wont remmeber off of the top of my head. Bu was struggling for a while with this on windows.
Steps are probably in the link above. Editing 2 files to add the cowon D3 signatures. Forgot the file names but there is 2. I will find them when im back.. Then make sure the android emulator thing is open. As without it doesnt seem to work. make sure the D3 has debugging turned on. install the drivers on the emulator. and i found i had to REBOOT...Then it all worked. i missed this stage, rebooted AFTER installing, |

I read this either here, or on ABI - I take no credit.
Needed to create an adb_usb.ini and add one line to it, as follows: Code:
echo "0x0e21" >> .android/adb_usb.ini

~/ is a linux command for home folder. Running this on Windows so I wonder where I can put this in on a Windows system?
I am typing this on a Gentoo setup (best Linux version possible IMHO), but I only compiled in NTFS read capability since I do not trust Linux to properly mod a Win 7 NTFS file system properly 100% of the time. It is probably OK on the Cowon due to the fact that it will never have to deal with anything other than media files. Maybe I should switch to trying to use adb on Linux, but I would rather not. My main desktop is running Win 7 and that is what I use the Cowon on. Thanks for your tips BTW. They are appreciated. Hopefully I can get something to talk to this thing at some point. -X |

Thanks. I will give that a shot if I can find some time this evening. I'll report back my success/failure.
