1、does the sound quality better than J3?can anyone tell the tiny sound differences between them? I read on Chises imp3 forum http://bbs.imp3.net/thread-1031392-1-2.html that D3 has a warmer sound and its actual output is a lillte larger, and it's a sound in conwon's history very like sony's players?
2、cowon said the playback time as music 21hs and video 10hs. What about the actual feeling of the playback time? will cowon's declaration be too exaggerating? 3、the firmware is updating rapidly. But in my native forum, many Android phone users tease at D3, saying D3's hardware is out-dated, and that D3 will be soon totally abandoned by cowon as cowon release another flagship player? And I myself am quite sure that J3 must be a classical player which is difficult to exceed. But I am wondering if D3 will be soon die out as D4 D5 comes out. |

You love WiFi, then get the D3. It'll need another firmware update or two to get gapless on the stock music app, but with Rockbox installed that will help. Quick response only after it has updated it's database each time it is started up from OFF or recently unplugged from USB. Only 21hours of Music play stated by Cowon, although when I tried to test mine it shut itself off after 18 hours with a stated 20% charge left on the battery. The battery scale only changes every 5% though so it could have been at 16% for all I could tell.

Thank you 4DThinker.
By the way, do you believe D3 will be as popular as J3? It seems J3 had won many many awards up until now. |

Compare the D3 against the android PMP competition and it still scores poorly in total points. I give points for android 2.2 or better, a high rez screen, camera, gapless playback, and so on. Right now my Archos 43 stands out as the best I've got, but the iPod Touch caught up a little with its 4.3 update and the availability of EQ apps. |

Sure that is a plus. It doesn't make up for the scanning delays, no gapless in the stock music app, non-standard android used (flaws playing angry birds for example), and so on. There are other "plus" features too, like amazing codec support, nice UI/widget touches, etc.. A perfect player won't have any minuses though. The D3 has a way to go to get to perfect.

Yea, they need to bring the price down. Of course it may cost them $300 to build the 32gb D3 for all I know.
