Thanks for the link, WAI. I've got it downloaded and my D3 is installing it as I type.

So far I haven't heard any flaws in the Music app. No Gapless yet, but I'll give them some more time on that one.

OK, I take that back. Still a few hiccups. When music is playing and you change volume or otherwise mess with control it causes the audio to skip/pause/stutter. Doesn't happen all the time, but every time I think they've fixed it my D3 proves me wrong.

Up to nine home screens now. Ability to pick which one is your main one as well. Nice addition, if only there was an app store so I needed more screen space!

You also get a choice in the music database view for cover flow or just a landscape view of the lists.

Only one Media folder on mine, Simmo. By chance is one capitalized and the other not?

Yes 4D one capitalised. I noticed after updating the FW when i went to add in a couple of vids but it may have been there before the update as not added media for a few days and had a lot of apps in and out yesterday. They were both identical in size so I deleted one of them in windows and that was that, lost the lot(yep idiot). Not to worry made a new media folder with sub folders and reinstalled media and all seems well. I reinstalled the FW also which appears to go in over itself ok FW1.29 from who am i's link.

Hello, I made a post in another thread but maybe i should have posted it here. What is the diff between the FW 1.29 and the FW 2.27? I assume the 2.27 is the EU.

1.02?

1.29 is the Korean release. 2.27 is the last EU release which came out a few days after 1.27. The top of this thread is a list of what changed between *.27 and *.29.

YOU just have to admire 4d for all his hard work and diligence. Isn't it nice to have a member behave this way, instead of trying to help they must attempt to ridicule other members whilst unknowingly ridiculing themselves.

.98 would be the difference not 1.02!

Didn't your mother ever teach you that if you did not have anything nice to say then don't bothering saying anything at all?

It's OK. I had the upcoming 3.29 in my mind when I did the math. Good thing I threw a ? after. If you see that ? it means I know I might be wrong. Thanks for correcting me. As for his question, the actual answer was in my second paragraph. Of course you have to subtract the korean-specific apps 1.2? comes with from the 2.2?, 3.2? and 4.2? versions.

Ok, we are nearing the point where I'm about to have a mini-orgasm here. Stability improvements are now significant and make the player almost usable. Scrolling through list is now margarine smooth (ah ah ah) with the occasional stutter one would expect from a 2.1 base.

Now, we're not out of the woods yet. I've had a couple of GFC's and a few hiccups, but they are now few and far between, a bit like middle class Americans in Detroit. The few album art issues I've had (not that I really cared) have indeed disappeared and I can now play Robo Defense HD on the D3 with no lag, full speed, awesome game, google it!!!

Tried fruit ninja, but it crashed like mad.

I've got Rockbox for gapeless, would be nice to have alternative UI's cause the stock one is short of ridiculous (I know, I know, it's an alpha version).

Now we wait for the 2,3,and 4.29s. Not sure if the little wait between the Korean version and all the others is enough time for them to fix a few more things, but it is indeed "fun" to get and update every week. Yes, I know the fun will eventually wain. Hopefully by them I'm fully captured by the D3 itself, and "firmware" won't need to cross my mind every again.
