Hey, do you guys know of any proggies that remove the silences at the end and beginning of mp3 tracks, preferrably on a grand scale? Thanks!

There is about a second gap that I don't think can not be removed. As the reviews have said, the X5 is nearly gapless and not gapless like the Karma. Having said that one of my requirements for a player was gapless playback since I listen to a lot of live music where the gap really interfers with the flow of the music. I've beeen very pleased with the X5 in this respect. Most of the time I don't notice the gap at all and when it is present it is short enough that it doesn't bother me. Of course this is subjective and the gap might bother you more than it does me.

No...you're not getting what I mean. I'm talking about like, if a song's over, but there's still like 5-10 seconds of silence before the file itself is actually done playing. Get what I mean? 4:55 long track...4:39 worth of music...

Hmmm, don't know of any programs like that. Maybe a sound editing program?

you can also adjust volume control..
