try either the Shure E series or Sony MDR-*1LP's. (the sony line has MDR-51, 71 and 81, and the Shure series has E2c, e3c, e4c, e5c). The shures are more expesive.

i would not recommend the sonys.
i have owned sony products in the past, and while not these current set of earbuds they have out now, according to all the info i have read on them, they follow the traditional bass heavy and crappy sound quality that sony is known for. i was a dj spinning bass heavy breakbeats and the expensive sony headphones were too bassy and too muddy. sony is crap imo, and a lot of the guys who are into quality sound reproduction way more than me will agree. i heard good thigns about the shures, but since i didnt want to drop more than 40 bucks or so on canalphones i went with the jvc hp-fx55 and they kick ass for 45 bucks from audiocubes.com u cant go wrong with the shures either it seems, depends on your price range really.

I have some cheapo behind-the-neck style that I got from Target. I really like em because:
They sound great. Only one cord instead of two. Easier to get on. Comfy (but sizes differ wildly -- most were way too big for me -- gotta try a few to find the best fit.) Don't look as stupid as over-the-head style. (Eeek! my hair!) I have to take them off frequently at work and it's easier to pop off one thing than mess with 2. Easy to drape em around my neck if I have to take them off for just a few minutes. Unobtrusive if you have long hair. |

thats what i thought. u know when u tell somebody how u got 100 dollar earbuds for 30 bucks, it might be considerate to tell them how, especially when they are askin for advice about getting such a product.
![]() ive heard good things about those, though i heard they are a bit lacking in the bass department. i need bass, but not the muddy sony bass.

I had the sony fontopia headphones. I didn't mind them, they were alright and sufficed. They broke however, so now I'm using the stock earphones.
Out of sheer curiousity, I order the Logitech Wireless Headphones and am really interested in seeing how it is in person. Should be coming in a few days. I'd really love to listen to my music w/out wires, should be interesting. ![]() |

I just received my shure e4īs (bought them for 200$ including postage an packing to europe) and they are absolutly awesome!!!!
Try it and you hear the music in a new dimension... The downside is that you NEED the mp3īs to be in 192kps or more. The 128kps mp3īs sound so dull... ;-) Hope I helped you! Greetings from germany! |

oh wow 11 replies in one day heh. thanks alot guys. i am currently the not-so-proud owner of a PX200. over here, noone wears headphones with that headband thing anymore. x_X so i'm looking for something that goes right into your ear. i heard those work better than the PX200. i mean, for one, they're closer to your ears and stuff. does anyone know which is better? the sennheiser PX range or in-ear earphones. im not willing to spend more than say 70SGD on in-ear earphones. yeh. so thats about USD40? smth like that. thanks for the help

It may just be too many hours around turbine engines in my younger days, but I think the stock X5L earbuds are just fine, and I think I get better sound out of them than any other in-ear bud that I've ever used.
Plus, I don't fancy spending $100 on a set of headphones. ![]() |

haha. cool, but i HATE stock earphones. theyre ugly and they suck ahahah. what i DO want to enjoy with my X5 is that promised great sound quality. so i'll definetly need good earbuds to do that.
