I still use mine - used it constantly for video the first three months this year when I was travelling, and have just replaced the battery. Screen fading a bit round the edge. Mostly I use it for music though, by far the best SQ I've ever owned, but way too heavy to be really portable. Am looking enviously at a J3 but can't quite justify getting another player while the A3 is still alive.

Has anyone moved on to Cowon V5 as a replacement for A3? How do they compare?

mines still going strong (although for some reason it has a small blue blob in the middle, possibly from dead pixels)

Although it sometimes falls outta favour, I always make sure it has a array of videos I've not seen as it's great when stuck on bus/train/airport and you can't be bothered to play games or read a book.

I sadly (and futilely) check this site for new firmware every now and then...

Is it worth an upgrade from an S9 32GB? To an A3 and switching out the HDD to 120GB? I have all my music encoded in WMA and it's still 98GB of music. I listen to it all 8 hours a day 5 days a week. I need something with a high capacity.

Reason I ask in here is, you're all still regular users of the device. Who better to ask?

Not sure the A3 is still for sale, and I donīt see many popping up on Ebay (sign of general satifaction perhaps.) I too have a huge music collection (a lot of oggs) and I while my A3 is still going strong I needed more capacity...
So I went for the Archos 5 Internet Tablet, the 500gb monster.

I mostly happy, itīs not perfect...we all dream of the perfect PMP, but
I think I choose wisely over the V5 (nor big enough capacity for one), and the Ipod (anything but) and well, there isnīt much else to my knowledge...

I would shop around a lot first, there are supposed to be a new Gen 8 release of the Archos tabs coming, and I am sure Cowon will have something else in line
after the V5, and who knows what other surprises...

BTW, while the Archos is great for surfing etc, and has many pluses...it still doesnīt gave the sound quality of Cowon....

Goodluck
