i have tested it few minutes now... this is just fucking great
the widget screen performance is awesome, almost better than VTX so far (no offense dnw), the menu select is genius too. Cowon would be retarded not to bring this UI to S9 users officially..
The only thing... matrix mode remains a sloppy piece of bullshit ^^ at least they have the honesty to show, how slowly the S9 loads the covers.... maybe the performance is better on J3... can't tell.

something related: do we know yet, if J3 has WiFi?

It definitely hasn't WiFi.
- Cowon would've mentioned that the J3 has WiFi
- How do you create a web browser in Flash?

The S9's stock picture viewer doesn't have double tapping, too.
Hehe, sorry for that. I rarely use the picture viewer on my S9, mostly just for changing BG and then I have no need to zoom.

dnw, there are other uses for WiFi...
audiostreaming to my FritzBox/its repeater, which has the capability to receive music and an optical output. you could use the J3 as a little mediaserver, which would be cool

btw: i tested the bluetooth streaming on my LG flat TV last week, works lik a charm

"dnw, there are other uses for WiFi..."

I know, but they would've mentioned it, don't you think so?

i haven't really followed the announcements, but you're probably right ^^

EDIT:
don't know if anyone has noticed yet: try tilting your S9 to the sides in mainmenu 2
this kind of feature makes me love cowon ^^

Theirs a number of problems though with it. For a start theirs no way of knowing what the volume currently is and the next and previous buttons on my s9 are inverted (i press next and it jumps to beginning of the song then to previous). Also the truck brightness widget goes to like a number higher then the s9 supports and doesn't go back to 1. Also is it just me or does the music ui look really bare?

^There seems to be problems with the hardware buttons, the J3 prob. uses other ones (and Im not sure it has ff/rw). I like the music UI, its much cleaner then the original S9 one.

you're right, the lighting widget isn't compatible to the S9.
music volume... you got ears, right?
i think it won't take long until someone recompiles the UCI with the correct button bindings. and you're right, the standard music screen looked better on S9, i really miss the little drag-out bar

The launcher is the problem.
Without it the buttons are fine, but half of the UI is dead.
dnw or any other programmer in here, can you please program a better launcher?

does anybody know, if it's possible to make this work with s9 (color, font size, position,...)
does it work on your s9?

it seems they upgraded the battery meter? It looks like it can be accurate to 1% now! Of course it won't be COMPLETELY accurate, but I find it's a big improvement from the S9's 100/75/50/25/0 meter. Alas, sadly, it probably isn't compatible with the S9's hardware

Woah, it's present time all over again =D

It's better but it's not great. I think I'm gonna keep some of these apps but not all.

But I don't know what history, init_country, input, memo, message, quiz and setup do =s
