How do you get the best FM reception? Especially for recording.

I tried last night and overall I was very pleased, however at some points the signal randomly would be interfered with by some other stations. It was a local station so I wasn't barely receiving it.

Any suggestions/tips for getting fairly consistent clear reception?

Use an extension cable for the headphone and keep it straight as possible.

In my oppinion the X5 has really good FM radio when i compare with all my other mp3/fm radios, I almost never get any distortion/static etc. the antenna is usually the headphone cord so try to experiment with that, like Erasure4ever said or somthing else.

My fault is I only listen to one local independent station so they don't have the same strenght Mhz antenna and the junk stations. Luckily they stream online as well.
