Default Encoding issue for DAB text

I have a Cowon S9 DAB/DMB with firmware 4.30 (Scandinavian). Listening to DAB and watching DMB broadcasts work fine, but I have a small problem with the text messages that are displayed in DAB mode.

Texts with non-ASCII characters get displayed with distorted characters. It looks like an encoding issue, it seems to be decoding iso-8859-1 as if it was codepage 850 (or something thereabouts). Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

This screenshot shows the issue (it should say "P4 nå", but says "P4 nñ"): [ame="http://www.flickr.com/photos/nafmo/4407771085/"]DSC00414 on Flickr - Photo Sharing![/ame]
