the s9 doesnt "sync". its like a usb device. so, no there isnt an app, and the only way to make an app as such is to have to manually drag over the outlook files (after decoding) into the s9.
alternatively, it is possible (but i believe there are better things to develop, such as music UI's) to make a background program for windows that checks hardware id's of devices that are plugged in, and if it is s9 then it will sync. There may be an easier way to do it, but it doesnt seem as if anyone is going to do it. |

Why not just wait for dTouch? Of course there isn't any syncing but it will have a calender, notes, and various other apps built into itself...

thats the problem, typing in all of your appointments and such both on the computer and the s9 (and typing on the s9 is a pain in the ass) will not be so great.

Who uses outlook anyway... I use Yahoo and gmail, easier to use in my opinion. I've grown out of syncing anything related to my handhelds especially with my hate of Apple (or the Zune) with an exception to maybe syncing my videos with it's audio
. D.Touch FTW, most anticipated UI on this forum !

i think a lot of other apps can import from progs like outlook, i think even google might... havent messed with that
you could always find some kind of conversion program and do a batch run, and have it do it with 1 click that is create the file for your s9 with your stuff... then drag and drop? |

I would like to see an app that syncs. with Outlook too. All my old Creative players could do it for Contacts, so can't be rocket science.
To address a couple previous comments: 1) MS and Outlook is a fact of life for many of us, like it or not. 2) Regarding the comment that Music UIs are more important, we have UIs up the yin-yang. Most of them, except for Claw's, are just eye candy whose one real functionality is just to drain your battery quicker. More productivity tools would be nice. |
