so I may or may not be the only hip hop fan around these parts, and if not, perhaps the only Wu Tang fan - but I had to share this just in case
http://www.flickr.com/photos/loganmi...7617640418633/ stumbled on some guy's really awesome Wu Tang Reissue project where he recreates album art for many of their best albums in the Blue Note style - I'm gonna keep watching it, hoping he does their whole catalogue hope someone else gets to use this stuff, it's awesome! |

The Reid Miles designed Blue Note album covers are iconic. They still look cool fifty years later and influence graphic design even now.

very cool, thanks for sharing!
love the Wu. if you haven't already, check out this overlooked gem that snuck out around 2004: Masta Killah - No Said Date. and of course the new Raekwon Only Built for Cuban Linx 2 is an instant classic.

yea, i forgot about my sig cuz i haven't been around in a while. still have all that stuff. Civic is gettin paid off this week and now my X5L has the dreaded loose headphone jack problem (see my post at the end of that thread at the top of the X5 problems forum).
should i add "23 month old son" or would that be kinda rude to cheapen my little boy like that? anyway, lots of duds over the years from the Wu, but also plenty of gems. got hard to keep track after a while. plus all the repackaged collections and whatnot. althought this year's "Wu Tang Chamber Music" was pretty solid even thought it was kinda short and full of kungfu interludes. and i thought U-God's "Dopium" wasn't bad considering i always thought U-God was just kinda the whack dude riding everyone's coattails but i guess that was Cappadonna. GZA's Pro Tools is solid.... but nothing he did since Liquid Swords was ever really really great. he's still the MAN tho for sure.

Gosh, I hardly ever stray far from the S9 forum.
I don't even think I've ever seen this one. Anyway...I find it and what do you know? A post about the Wu-Tang. What a coincidence because just last night I was visiting a new favorite blog of mine and happened upon a "Wu Mix.
