Forgive me for being a little technologically challenged, I've tried searching but I'm struggling to find the answer.
I have a D2+ DAB with firmware version 4.12 I would like to install Rockbox. Is this possible and, if so, would someone kindly point me in the direction of the download? |

It looks like the answer is that D2+ DAB users will have to roll back to fw 4.02 to install rockbox (thanks to MartyLK).
Will have a go and report back if anyone else is interested. |

Experiment abandoned after attempt to install fw 4.02 nearly killed my D2+ DAB. Guess no RB for me for the foreseeable future....

I know this is a bit late, but if your D2+ came with 4.10 or later don't try going backwards to 4.02! It won't work, since Cowon changed the hardware inside the D2+ between those two versions...
Recent versions of Rockbox should work on your player, but you will need to either find somebody who has already made a patched v4.12, or download some tools and do the job yourself. To do it yourself (assuming you're on Windows): - Download mktccboot.exe from here - Download bootloader-cowond2.bin from here - Download the original v4.12 D2_P.bin from here - Put them all in the same folder, eg. C:\firmware - Open a command window and run the following commands: Code:
cd /d C:\firmware mktccboot D2_P.bin bootloader-cowond2.bin D2_P-patched.bin |

Leontion, I've gone ahead and made the file for you if you want to download it. All you'd need to do is, after downloading it of course, unzip it to your D2. Here is the link:

Rockbox loaded and working. I'm absolutely thrilled to have gapless playback, the lack of gapless ruins about 90% of the music I listen to. You are both incredibly kind to have taken time to help me get Rockbox up and running. Thank you both very much indeed! *does happydance* |

Where is the .rockbox folder located on your card? If it is inside of another folder, move it to the root of the card. The best way is to download the zipped RB file to your desktop and unzip it to your card.

I put it in the root of my D2. I've tried to put it on a memorycard, but nothing happens.
