Help Benefits of having playlists

Hi friends,

Lately I've read several threads on Playlists and how to create them on the D2. I must say I never used playlists, not even with my PC. Please, some of you can tell me what are the benefits of having playlists in my D2? I usually use the folder or artist or album or shuffle modes of my D2, so I never felt like having a need to use playlists.

Can you help me with this? From my point of view I guess I don't need them but I never used them. Perhaps someone can tell I'm wrong.

TIA

ever had an album where like every other song sucked or just wasn't as good as the rest?

Examples:
The Offspring - Americana
Jack's Mannequin - The Glass Passenger
Black Eyed Peas - Elephunk & Monkey Business
Sum 41 - Underclass Hero etc.

or maybe you'd like to listen to songs from different artists with similar genre or which fit a certain activity/mood. for example, sports, date, studying...

there are many reasons for playlists, but if you've managed without till now, i'm sure you're not missing out.

I have many soundtracks that I like to listen to when on the buss and trying to sleep so I have playlist for them.

In my computer I have a playlist without gothic rock/metal for when my friends come over and I know they don't like it.

A year ago I worked in a shop and when I worked nights I would connect my (then) ipod to the shop sound systems (which was really great) and put my "work" playlist which was costumers friendly.
