no subtitles

it usually works when i use MKVextractGUI toextract subtitles from mkv files but this time it doesnt.
i converted successfully from blueray movie to an avi movie. Could play the video but not without the subtitle

when i extracted the .ass file i get this inside

I believe that if you get a .srt instea of .ass, you will be able to use subs. Check to see if .ass files are compatible

".ass" subtitle files are not compatible with the S9. ".srt" files are the only ones recognized by the S9.

oh thanks for letting me know but as i mentioned the ass sub i extracted contains only the quoted text that i posted on first thread here.
I have no ide4a why but the ass doesnt have those text files

And also how do i convert ass to srt?

Provided your subtitle files are intact and are not broken, you can try this tutorial (simple extension renaming) or use VobSub's SubResynch to convert ".ass" subs into ".srt" subs.

Back on topic guys, help the OP to find a way to convert ass to srt.
