Speed up UI?

Hey, what's the best way to speed up the S9's user interface? I heard that you can put a custom theme on that will speed it up, is there any customization that one could do in order to speed it up to a comfortable iphone-like speed?

The iPhone has a ridiculously slow interface, especially with the new 3.0 FW. The only reason it seems pretty quick is because they use animations along the way so that you don't notice how slow it is. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2349677,00.asp
Honestly, a 47 second boot for most iPhones? We have, when not redoing ID3 tags, a 3-5 second boot. It's not the UI that's slow, just the persistent lack of eye-candy that makes it seem slow. If you find a UI that has such animations, then it will seem faster.

Edit: As such, though, I have not found such a UI (although I trundle along happily with GRID/.music and Claw's) with animations like that. I just wanted to point out what you should be looking for.

Since we're discussing animation in the S9's UI, is there a way to turn off the animations?

(I would rather have more battery life than eye-candy.)

Claw's UI gives you the option to turn some (most? all?) of them off.

Well, I really meant the iPod Touch, but I guess they're probably about the same, although the boot time is faster. I don't really know. So this Claw's UI will allow me to speed up the UI by turning some animations and such off?

It won't speed up the UI (or at least not noticeably). Turning off animations will actually make the UI seem slower if you're used to an interface that has animations between the response lag time (like the iTouch/iPhone). Turning off the animations should conserve more battery life though, which is important to some of us.
