Default Playing .mkv with subtitles on s9

How would I go about playing a few anime .mkv files with subtitles?

I suppose I need to convert them, but so far JetAudio hasn't been kind to me. Subtitles won't show up and for some reason the finished videofile played like a slideshow at .25 speed.

Any tips on how to convert these files, or on free conversion software I am better off using? Thanks in advance

Try FormatFactory: it converts mkv and almost all possible video format perfectly, has customizable settings for subtitles, and can even convert pictures, icons and audio files. No spyware/adware and it's FREE. (You can download it from brothersoft.com)
Have fun!
