Default my d2 sounds so good

cant belive how good my d2 is sounding now with the hfi780s , the caffine ultra has arrived (Robert is using new resistors to cut sibilence on lighter cans) and i know it will take some burning in but even now im blown away with the sound.
people keep saying whats the point of amping a hp out but the d2 is a very clean source is it not?
anyway the bass is amazing but tight and controlled the texture and seperation mind blowing and the soundstage just right (nice space between the instruments but not too wide )
mmmm maybe the pro 900s next?
yeh i know the pics a bit small

Congrats with your setup!

I too like enjoy a lot the sound of the D2. It is my favorite portable player so far

does the sony or the clip in your sig do anything better than the d2?
keep hearing that some think the d2 cold and analytical i find that it sounds amazing with good headphones ,sometimes i just think the d2 tells the truth about the way a track is both originally mastered and then encoded ect i.e if sibilence is there then thats what you hear where maybe a warmer player will slice off those higher frequencys

Well, the Clip does sound better when compared to the D2 without any JetEffect on. But once you use the BBE (or BBE+) and M3B on the D2 the Clip stays behind.
The Clip is also more portable.

And Sony's BT is quite good to use it with wireless headphones. I use it quite a lot for the underground. A820's sound is good, but I prefer the sound of the D2 by a small margin. I prefer the "analytical" sound of the D2 more than the "colored" sound of the Sony.
