I have owned both the X5 and the X5L. I returned the X5 because of an HDD error. Now I did not like that I could barely watch two full-length feature films on there so i shelled out the extra cash and and got the X5L. Now I can watch about 4 movies about 8 hours of video playback which is quite amazing. The audio playback is really nice if you are going on a long car ride or flying international.. if you can afford the extra 50$ or whatever it is where you buy it than do it its well worth it!

my dad has the 5XL and I got the X5.The X5l may be larger in BATT life but I DON't like the size difference! For me it's a big size diff so no sorries for my X5!
