Thanks for a great website. I've thought of a couple of things that could be done to improve my S9 experience. If others think this is a good idea, perhaps someone will pass along the request to Cowon. If these things can already be done, please let me know how.

1) Video player emulator for PC. If I have 10 video files on my PC from various sources, connect the S9 and copy the files from the PC without conversion, disconnect the S9 and boot it up, I'll discover that a few of the video files will play. I have to note which ones won't, then convert them on my PC and again connect the S9 and copy those files. That's a waste of time.

I could just convert all files on the PC without first checking if they'll work on the S9 without conversion, but converting files that don't require conversion is an even bigger waste of time. It would be nice if we could have a video player for the PC that emulates the ability of the S9 to play a file.

2) Program the S9 to recognize additional file extensions as video files. I understand that a file extension is supposed to tell a processor what program to use to access that file. However, the methodology doesn't seem to work well with video files. I copied a *.divx file to the S9, disconnected, booted it up, and the file did not appear in the S9's video directory. I reconnected the S9 to my PC, changed the file extension to *.avi, disconnected, booted up, and of course the file appeared and it also played. It should be a simple matter to enable the processors to recognize *.divx and perhaps some additional extensions, so that the S9 can at least recognize the files as video files and give the users a chance to see if it'll play on the machine.
