Awesome! Maybe there's not going to be any other database corruption (not that I experienced any...but I know it's an issue if you don't tag the mp3 correctly).
Shame for the limit of files...no upgrade....oh well...I'm thankful for the new fw.

can anyone tell me whether or not it's worth it to apply this upgrade? i assume there's an equivalent firmware 3.59, since i upgraded from 2.57 to 3.57 a couple of months ago. it just seems like a lot of trouble, copying all my files on the pc and then trying to follow those wyrd (worse than weird) instructions they posted. and then copying all the files back on the D2.
and all for what? i don't use ogg, i don't really care if id3-tags are shown properly, i've never tried the lyrics function, and the only problem i've had with the M-button so far were always me accidentally pressing it inside my jacket, when i tried to skip a song.

Hope the fix does not leave the sorting problem in the other kinds of listing modes. I think there is no other way to know...i have to try it. |

I installed 2.59, OGG ordering seems ok.
Then i did tried this: removed my SDHC 32 gb and reinserted it. The result was a long list of unknown artsist/song. Restarted the D2 a couple of times and now everyuthing seems ok, but i've to do more tests. |

Just a heads up - all current custom themes still work with 2.59, the D2N_rs.bin file is the same as always.

oh my god.... I was just thinking about it right now and how May was the last date (I didn't jump back in until sept)
thanks for caring Cowon. yea... the "m" thing was annoying. this is great because my player is acting irregular; it turns on automatically at times and turns off. |

Why do we have to format the device after upgrading the firmware?
Afaik there was no word of formatting in the instructions of the later firmware. |
