Ok, i have two questions if anyone could help me out-
1) Is there some kind of flash application where you can view the amount of battery you have left like as a percentage or something? 2) Is there some kind of flash skin or firmware update which allows you to view the EQ. So you could see the bars for each limit of the EQ going up and down with the music. basically, viewing the effects of the EQ. Thanks. |

2) Seconded. I love seeing those bars going up and down following the beat of the music

I doubt that flash skins work fast enough to display a proper visualization..... And I'm unsure about the battery thing either.
I think if you could go that deeply into the system there would be much more powerful flash applications at this time. Guess RockBox is the way to go, again.... at least, I love Rockbox' visualization |

Writing a flash app that shows battery status any way you like should be fairly easy. Maybe one of those flash UI craftsmen will add it to their skin if you ask nicely.

@ MoMonster: Rockbox has still some features missing, so until it has everything working I won't try it

I don't see a sense in a battery meter showing percentage numbers. The built in battery meter is far too inaccurate. It is showing anything but not the accurate battery status. If you are lucky it follows approximately the battery status, in many cases it does not. The four-bar battery meter is actually a pretty adequate way to display such inaccurate data. Having percentage number would lead to quite some confusion.

You will not loose the original firmware. It is dual-boot, your choice what firmware you want to load.
