Default Bad shuffle...Options for playlist?

I came to know about the stinky shuffle feature....That is heart breaking!!! .NOw i have a 20 gig collection, and i want to listen diff songs.... How do I do that? What do you people do? Make a shuffled playlist and store it? But that will always begin from the first song? Any options here or everytime I will have to select the songs I wish to hear?

If you have the "resume function" on, at least it starts from the last song you listened to, and not the same every time.
As I use MM to send tracks to D2 from a playlist, I usually shuffle the tracks and put a "random" number before the song name once a week...
Best I could think of.

What exactly is the problem with the shuffle function?

Is it that when you start you "have" to start at the first song in the list (and the list is always the same) Just press next song when you start? That's what I do...

No, it seems to have a bias for certain songs and after a while "in your head" you already know what's coming next. Just like an album.. after a while you're already singing the next song when the previous is about to end. You know what's coming. So no, you can't call it a shuffle.

Somehow I haven't noticed this yet then, It appears pretty random to me at this point, ah well, I'll see when I listened to the thing a bit longer.

According to other peoples experience I'd say they improved it in the newer firmware, but it still is anything but random.

Unless they fix that I just stay away from it.
