Support OGG and FLAC

Does not support WMDRM10 and Music Library

And, by the way, there is Russian language too and not only Korean and English.

This is the first time i've seen a FW3.XX... any idea how it differs from either 1.XX OR 2.XX?

It's the first time the firmware with ogg and flac support is on www.cowonglobal.com site and not only on their korean site. I suppose from now on there will be only one version of a firmware.

my guess is the guys at COWON America or COWON Global decided to add OGG and FLAC Support to the U5 here in the states. that's awesome for us.

But they removed Windows media DRM and music database, so doesn't that make this FW near identical to the korean 2.xx?

Default Almost the same as the Korean

This New Firmware adds the support of FLAC and OGG, aswell as the Dinamyc Playlist and Bookmarking, it removes the browse by Id3Tag, only by Folder, i notice that the System menu only has one option.. no Lyrics to display...

mmm i think Cowon can make an effort by improving the firmwares and not removing usefull things... i hope at least that with this FW it doesn´t freeze like with 1.16 FW.-

All that has been added/removed makes this firmware sound the same as Firmware 2.XX, if anyone can report on any differences between FW 2.XX and 3.XX it would be appreciated.

As a side note, this firmware has not been released on the cowon america site, so for now I am disregarding any comments regarding this firmware being released for the US.
As the russian language has been added perhaps it is correct to think this firmware is intended for Russian users? however until facts are certain we can't assume anything for sure.

Um, it was not there when I made my post, regardless of what it says, if you had checked when I did you would know that . It is also now on the Japanese cowon site and the Russian site where it was not there before.

I just wanted to confirm that this upgrade is basically the same as 2.16 but it adds support for more languages besides English and Korean. Finally, the German language is working again, now with OGG and FLAC support. Thank you very much.
