I'm planning on buying a Cowon D2 Next week from B & H Photo and Video since I can just go to the store and pick it up there. But, I am a mac user and would like to know if that matters? Like, do you need a CD, or are there applications that you have to donwload?
Also, I was wondering if you could change the whole interface. Because i think it looks ugly when you play a song. I was wondering if you could like remodel the whole thing. Can you? Here is a picture of how i want it to sorta look. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y85...tatescreen.jpg or like this http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/1051/dsc0392smau8.jpg Also I was wondering should i get the 4gb then a 8 gb SD card? using mac no problem....plug and play...but make sure its on MSC (UMS)...and i think its only on 3.xx firmwares. cd is only for windows. but you don't need software for mac...like i said its plug and play.
changing interface with the pics you showed is by using latest 3.xx firmware that has flash music in it. forgot which firmware it started from but definitely 3.54/55 has it. check stickies in which firmware to use, how to use theme/skin, etc...because you can mess it up by using wrong combinations. also make sure your tags are done right because it'll make a huge difference. as for what you should get...its up to you...how much music/files or whatever you are planning on carrying with you and what you are willing to spend. remember to check and read the STICKIES in the D2 firmware and D2 themes, tweaks and anything flash...everything is there to help you...and if you get lost ask in respective thread... gotta go back work =)

Did you look around the forum?
I suggest you do that first. Themes and firmware sections. They'll have even more that'll make your jaw drop.

Second bolded question: That's the beauty of the D2 my friend, customize it all you want. Like the others said, go throught the forums and find all the flash skins/themes pages/tutorials. But again, like the others said, you need to upgrade the firmware to 3.54 or 3.55 to do so (since only 3.xx FWs support flash skins/themes). If you need any help with that, again just ask Third bolded question: If you want 12GB of storage, go for it! |

I use a mac too and had no problems with drag and drop, except the software sometimes locked the file and you have to manually unlock it to copy it over.
