Cradle once again

First, hello to everybody on this forum.

I am proud user of X5.

But... I cannot find _anybody_ who sells that cradle in Europe or it's shipping to Europe.

Any help appreciated.

X5 is a discontinued model. Cradles, subpacks and remotes are very hard to find. Keep searching Google or eBay and you might get lucky.

amazon.com has it, some shops in Canada and Australia too... But none of them are shipping to Europe, precisely to Croatia.

Well, guess I'll have to find someone in America to do job for me and send me here.

Having read with alarm that the X5 had been decommissioned I managed to track down the Gomadic alternative to the subpack via Amazon.co.uk. The service was incredibly fast from VA to Scotland. There is a single usb to jack cable with two connectors to the X5: one for charging and one for synching; both of which work fine so it cost me GBP £18.50 for a back-up to my subpack in case it ever gets lost.

Prior to finding the Gomadic stuff I had spent about two hours scouring every UK website for a subpack or cradle with no luck whatsoever.

Gomadic also do a car charger for the same price although I have yet to buy one. Their car cradle for the X5 is not great but okay.

www.mp3spelers.nl a Dutch company still has dockingstations (for X5 and X5L) and subpacks on their website. They are very reliable and have fast service.

Gomadic is also an option, there you can get a plug (Tip exchange) and all sorts of cords for different goals (carcharger/USB/wallplug).

*Update: I contacted www.mp3spelers.nl and they don't have the dock for the X5L any more, they do have subpacks and the dock for X5.
