Problem Connecting D2 to Computer
 OR  When i plug in my D2 in Vista or XP i get the same message "USB Device Not Recognized" ive tried plugging it into different ports and i get the same message all the time. if anyone knows how to fix this plz help... its a good thing i have a SD card otherwise i would have no way of updating music on my D2... Firmware 3.54 XP x86 SP3 RC2 Vista Business x86 Pre-SP1 thx, neezee

Try using MSC mode first. For MTP you have to install drivers...

I assume your D2 worked before. so have you tried another cable...

neezee, your very smart using a In Develop Service Pack from Microsoft. that may be the problem but i doubt it. try another USB Port.

are you using a Notebook? try with a Desktop that has Xp or vista and report back.

it turns out it was the wire... though i dont know why since ive been using the same one in the past without any problems...
