Default FLAC and tags poblem

Hey Guys,
I am using FLAC files on my D2. All tags are shown correctly, except the artist tag. This tag shaws ARTIST=artistname. This is shown since FW2.53 and 2.54.

For tagging my FLAC files I am using MediaMonkey 3.

Is it a problem in the FW or in MM3 and how can I solve it

Thanks!

I have the same problem. I have two albums by a artist and the artist name works fine. But when I have chosen the artist, the two albums now is shown as one and it's called ARTIST=artistname. When I play a song from one of these two albums the album tag is still ARTIST=artistname. Both of the albums are FLAC and ripped and tagged by myself. I have used Tag & Rename for tagging and I have also tried MediaMonkey 3.0, but the album tag is still ARTIST=artistname. I have also tried to delete and transfer the files again, but nothing else happend. I have a D2 8GB DAB with FW 4.54 installed and I installed this firmware at once I got the player so I don't know if it is like this in the previous firmware versions too.

I suspect that this is a firmware bug, but since no one else than rubenv here seems to have that problem I'm not shure... Do somebody else here have that problem or know anything more about it?

Try upgrading to MediaMonkey 3.0.2.1124.

3.0.2 fixed a lot of problems that were in 3.0.1..xxxx with tags.

i only know...sometimes all is showing correct(flac) and another time, when adding a new flac, ape file with right tagging...it messed up my id3 library or corrupts it...
mayby there is soome problem with a .jpg file or the file itself is corrupt???

i use mp3tag...very good programm, easy and fast....

Did you check the tag info of some of your files which are not displayed correctly? Do you have a tag "Album Artist" in addition to the tags "Album" and "Artist" for these files? If so, try to delete the "Album Artist" tag and make sure to have separate "Album" and "Artist" tags for the file. Restart the player and see if the display is still incorrect...

You might have to erase the file on the player and store it newly with "corrected" tag information.
