Default Question concerning my new D2

I am a soon to be D2 owner. I am coming from the Rio Karma.

My question has to do with the AV cable. I have a home stereo, car stereo, and a stereo at work that I want to connect to the D2 for playing Audio. All have RCA audio inputs. I was wondering if I should purchase the Cowon AV cable or should I make a 1/8 to RCA cable to go from the headphone out? Would the AV cable be better, SQ wise, or would the difference be negligible?

The Karma's docking station worked great. But alas, its battery is dying, and I kinda want a new toy. Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forum.
The cable is only useful for video output, since the firmware only allows you to do AV out, when viewing any video, there's no AV out setting when playing music in D2.

IMO the headphone out would be only option, unless you are thinking of using music videos.Try searching for lineout on D2, to know more about the headphone out settings for lineout.

Thanks for the help. I gotta get better at searching these forums.

Looks like I am going to have to make a few interconnects. I can't wait to get my hands on the D2.
