Hi everyone,
this is really stupid, but I'm too cheap to go order a new remote.
Recently, the power/play button on my remote stopped working. It's the function when you press down.
However, the functions left and right still work!
Should I tempt opening the remote to see what the problem is?
I NEVER abuse the remote, in fact I hardly use it, and I'm surprised it failed.

Anyone else with experience tinkering w/ the remote?

On a side note, I might just say screw it and get the X5 but what would I do with a perfectly functioning M3 that I love so much?
Thanks.

Well, this is a bloody coinciendence - my M3 has just started doing exactly the same thing. I notice it after driving somewhere, coming back and attempting to switch the M3 off, but to no avail.

Fortunately, twiddling the cable fixes the issue, however I am weary that this temporary fix will gradually become less effective, as the remote slowly dies...

Oh well, shou ga nai...

Well it's usually just pressing gently on the the plug that connects up to the M3 (with the headhone minijack and and small PCB).

Cheers,
James

Same problem happened to me - for a while, I just used the Play/Pause button on the main unit instead, but then I got a free replacement remote from JetAudio. No hassles at all, their customer service was very quick.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for VertexLink - JetAudio's Japan distributor.

I have sent a number of emails regarding my faulty remote, but no response. My Japanese is pretty bad, but the letter should have been understandable enough to attempt to respond.
