Connect the D2 to your mac.
The D2 pops up on your desktop, open it, you'll see a music folder.
Drag music from where ever you have it store on your mac to the music folder in the D2 and drop the music in.
let the music transfer.
when transfer is complete eject the D2 by dragging it to the trash and dropping it in

The key here is that you shouldn't really be using the iApps. Drag & Drop from Finder. If you want to use iTunes on your Crapbook, there is Synctunes: This allows you to sync UMS devices such as the D2 with iTunes.

Also, I'm sure it is but I'd make sure it is in UMS mode. Settings - System - USB Connection on the D2.

And furthermore, being a Mac user you probably ripped in AAC, an incompatible format. Won't work on the D2 - you'll need to convert your music to MP3. A simple enough process: You need to go into the import settings of iTunes, check what is selected. If it's AAC then you need to set it to e.g. High Quality MP3, then go back to your library, mark all the tracks, two-finger / ctrl-click on any track and select 'Convert to MP3'. This may take quite a while depending on what you have and how many tracks you have. After you've converted the tracks, you can delete the AAC files. You should be able to sort tracks by type in iTunes, and you should be able to delete AAC (M4A) tracks this way. Now, your iTunes library will be playable by the D2.

Come back to us if none of that works.
