Correct Aspect Ratios

Hi Folks!

The new Cowon devices (A3+Q5) will have screen resolutions of 800x480 Pixels. But this is not true 16:9 like the A2 Screen (480x272), it's only 15:9.

IMO it's a drawback because to display the correct aspect ratios of movies (16:9, 2,35:1 Anamorphic etc.) it's need to "blow up" the black bars at the top and bottom of the Screen. So the advantage of the bigger Screen (5'' Q5) will "shirnk" because of the thicker Black bars. And the A3 will only have a 4'' Screen with the same resolution. For the A3, i think you will get a "smaller" screen (compared to the fantastic A2) as a result of the new resolution (15:9). IMO it's not a good step from Cowon to use a screen resolution with aspect ratio 15:9 for a movie player...

Anyway, i will get a Q5 asap (Release date in Europe ca. end of september..).

What do you think about the aspect ratios with the new screen resolutions...(A3+Q5). Are i right with my thouguts? Thanks for your answers....!
