Only just got my M3.
The battery ran down.
I charged it for the first time, with the official charger.
All the lights turned on instead of the usual green and white ones.
The middle light cycles through orange, green and blue as if it was hooked up to the USB.
The harddrive seems to be seeking all the time and the remote says 'Do not disconnect, USB' as it does when its connected to the USB.
It will not turn off at all.
It does not affect it if you reset it.
It gets hot with all the trying to boot up and at the moment i've hooked it back into the USB so it doesn't wear itself out.
Now it's connected to the USB on my pc it's totally calmed down and reads as a harddrive. It's going to have to stay there for now, for its own safety.

What do I do?

Any ideas?

Call Cowon. After talking to a tech, they replaced my main unit.

In an email, iAudio tech support told me to flash the machine. They obviously didn't listen to a word I said as I told them it will not turn off, which is an integral part of flashing it. I'll have to mail them again. Can't call Cowon cause i'm not in the USA

hmm, have you tried resetting it? it might just help to turn off the player. and maybe try holding down the reset button. most electronics work the same way, esp. when resetting. works for both computers, pdas and some others more.

so far i'm one happy customer and i have no major gripes about anything. 15gb of songs and counting.. average 4 hours a day

Yes, the reset button doesn't do anything except reset it more. Thanks for the idea though.

I'm very happy for you that yours is working while mine is a 370 dollar paperweight
