So here I am crybabying about playlist support for this thing & come to find out... there actually is an entry for playlist under:
BROWSER --> Music List --> MODE --> Music Library --> Playlist Sadly no playlist appear under this no matter what. Tried throwing on there many of the different playlist extensions that I know of such as PLS, PLA, M3U, etc. and none of them will show up even as I do this all in MTP mode -____- Also tried alittle synching with winamp and that don't work either. So what do this mean? Is playlist support broke on this thing? Tried this thread but isn't much help unless I'm doing something wrong... http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=15319 So what? Somebody succeeded with having SOME playlists show up under "Music Library" of the player and this is all a big secret to keep those of us who wants it frustrated? Once & for all this mystery has to be solved & explained in this thread. Will I have to change how my music is stored neatly in folders & just synch it up with abunch of stuff & deal with what order synching will throw everything in? Is there an endangered animal that must be sacrificed for our D2's to consume before it grants us a playlist?!?! Where's Scooby & The Gang when you need them??!?! ![]() Last edited by philadiophile; 07-15-2007 at 00:34.. |

WHAT?!?!?!
Ok... I figured it out... I actually figured it out!!! >_> Well I did a search on here & it turns out that playlists IS possible on here!!! SPECIFICALLY.... It turns out that you'll first need to upgrade your windows media player to version 11 if you haven't already (VITAL)... THEN ensure that your player's USB mode is MTP. After running on WMP 11 & running on MTP mode your player will show just as "My Computer\COWON D2" with "Internal Storage" and "External Storage" showing up (the latter assuming you have a card installed). From here it's all a matter of right clicking in your player and click on "Create Playlist" (which won't show up unless you have wmp11 + MTP mode on player). Double click on this list & just drag any of the songs within your player into the list (doesn't matter if the songs is on the "Internal Storage" or "External Storage"... it'll play through seemlessly) And there you have it. Granted it's not the best way to get it done but yes... MULTIPLE PLAYLISTS IS ACTUALLY SUPPORTED ON THIS PLAYER!!! My playlist ramblings will now come to a complete death But really, support dropped the ball on this by saying that it isn't & I have to wait until Korean team supports this. Somebody please spread the word & maybe even sticky this post... because I'm sure i'm not the only one who went crazy about playlists with this thing ) |

it definately would be better if PLS or M3U's or anything else that can be created in UMS was supported though if just for the simple fact that it was just that much simple older cowon players as far as just throwin stuff on a winamp playlist. plus i heard that these friggin .pla lists may need to get backed up due to UMS file actions may delete the pla's |

Yeah, moving between MPT and UMS modes actually make various things not work as expected. Best to stick with a favored mode, I figure.
